Many of BEAM Enterprises' customers are first-time advertisers on billboards of any kind who are drawn to the digital side of the business because rates are actually a better value than newspaper and television advertising. Not to mention because they can advertise more timely events and, in many cases, because they can create their own ads. In today's economy, a digital billboard is a very attractive advertising option.
Since Bender Billboard's inaugural digital board first went live this summer, the company has expanded its typical customer base to include smaller companies and those that need to update their advertisements frequently. Surprisingly enough, Bender is finding that its digital billboard is enabling more "mom and pop" type businesses to actually increase their advertising, even in this struggling economy.
Ever since Porlier Outdoor Advertising Co's digital billboards, manufactured by Watchfire Digital Outdoor, went live, the company has stuck to a very specific sales strategy that differs from how they sell their vinyl billboards. "We see digital billboards as a direct replacement for television, radio and print advertisements," said the company's president, Brent Porlier. "With digital billboards, our customers can quickly and easily change their message, the boards are attention-grabbing, and unlike other media, the audience can't change the channel or turn the page."
LOOK Billboards, an outdoor advertising company in southern Oklahoma, which owns 130 vinyl billboard faces, is further embracing the digital advantage by implementing a unique "rotary" network program so advertisers can rotate their ads among three digital billboard locations if desired for maximum exposure. All three boards are manufactured by Watchfire Digital Outdoor.
Key-Ads, Inc., a Dayton-based family-owned and operated outdoor advertising company since 1955, has installed its first digital billboard which was manufactured by Watchfire Digital Outdoor.
