Watchfire Digital Outdoor Builds and Installs First Digital Billboard in Texas Market
Watchfire Digital Outdoor announced today that it has installed its first digital billboard in the state of Texas. The 10' x 30' 19mm board was sold to Swift Media of Waco, Texas, and is installed near the intersection of Hewitt Drive and Panther Way in Hewitt, Texas.
"Digital billboards are unique to the Waco market, which is strategically positioned between Dallas and Austin," said Kris Tooley, president of Swift Media. "Digital billboards are attractive to advertisers because they allow messages to be changed frequently, even several times a day. We had the billboard sold out to advertisers before we installed it."
Digital billboards also are attractive to municipalities for Amber Alerts, emergency communications and public safety messages.
Swift selected Watchfire because of it customer support and product warranty. "We really did our research and found that Watchfire manufactured a high quality product," said Tooley. "But what set them apart was their excellent customer support and product warranty." Watchfire has an industry-leading 5-year warranty.
"Watchfire has been building LED signs for 10 years and we will build nearly 5,000 LED faces in our Danville, Ill. factory this year," said Darrin Friskney, director of Watchfire Digital Outdoor. "We use that experience to help our customers make the move into digital outdoor as smooth as possible. It's important for our customers to know that not only will they get a well-made billboard, they also have a partner who will walk them through every detail of their installation."
