Eastlink Centre is a combined hockey/basketball arena and trade and convention facility located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Constructed in 1991 for the Canada Winter Games, Eastlink Centre is home to the Charlottetown Islanders of the QMJHL and the Charlottetown Power of the ECBL and hosts concerts and other live events throughout the year.
Watchfire was selected by the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota to provide 10 videoboards as part of a modernization of the facility’s scoreboards and sound systems.
Watchfire has hired Brian Smith as Pro-AV Sales Director. He will be responsible for fostering and growing partnerships in the professional audio-visual industry, and creating training protocols and curriculum for Watchfire’s indoor display products.
Watchfire will introduce a new video shot clock at the National Athletic Directors Conference & Exhibit (NADCE) show, an annual event hosted by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA).
As winter sports get underway, Watchfire has introduced several new products to enhance scoring, timing, and fan experiences for matches at high schools, colleges, and sporting complexes. The latest innovations include easy-to-install and customizable video centerhungs, the LED scorer's table, a variety of shot clocks, and per-assembled audio cabinets. These are in addition to our LED sports video displays and scoreboards that can be found in professional and amateur stadiums across the country.
