Shop N Save Market, located in Mooresville, N.C., features many unique shopping experiences that include a boutique grocery store, convenience store and gas station. Since installing a new digital message center manufactured by Watchfire Signs, they report a noticeable uptick in customer traffic.
The retail location contains a specialty butcher shop, wine mart and produce market, in addition to traditional c-store fare. They recently replaced a tall gas price sign structure with a freestanding monument sign. The new structure made from brick and stone complements the store’s facade and includes a full-color LED sign. The new sign also showcases three 12-inch Watchfire Price Watcher® signs.
Many Shop N Save customers weren't aware that the market carried fresh salmon, hand cut steaks, and poultry, as well as more than 250 different kinds of wine, despite its location on busy Highway 115 in the Lake Norman area.
“We never had a good way to advertise what was inside the store,” said co-owner Penny Price. Price indicates that about 80 percent of messages on the new LED sign feature photos of fresh food items like shrimp, crab cakes, and country sausage with eggs. They also advertise promotions for various holidays and use the display to post messages of community support.
Price programs the sign and says that she often incorporates suggestions for messages given to her by customers who have taken an interest in the sign.
The sign was designed and installed by Atlantic Sign Media, Inc., of Burlington, NC. Owner Joe Rickman specified Watchfire because he believes it represents the highest quality LED signs, and provides the industry’s best service and support.
“The return on investment for this sign was very attractive, so it made perfect sense for the store to invest in today’s technology to help increase sales,” said Rickman.
